Zillow is a tech real-estate marketplace company with over 6,000 employees that does nearly $2 billion in revenue annually.
As a technology company, enabling their developers to do their best work is a key priority for Zillow’s leadership. Zillow was quick to identify AI code assistants as high-potential technology for delivering on this priority.
Zillow and Codeium
Over the last 18 months, Zillow evaluated a handful of AI code assistance tools, before looking at Codeium.
Codeium made sense to Zillow for a variety of reasons:
- Personalization capabilities that worked with their SCM (Source Code Management)
- Data & Analytics: Wanting to make sure that they could get insights from the usage of the AI tool, Zillow was interested in the real-time analytics dashboards that Codeium provides out-of-the-box.
- IDE compatibility: With many XCode developers to build Zillow’s iOS application, Zillow was encouraged by Codeium’s support of the XCode IDE, which is uncommon among code assistants.
- SSO support: All of Codeium’s plans have support for Okta integration, allowing Zillow to control access to the tool.
